Ditch Witch® Transition Rods are available for all drills from the JT520 to the 2720M1 directional drills. These parts are manufactured to the exact specifications of the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and are manufactured from 4145HT material for maximum service life. The Transition Rod, by design, serves two purposes: 1) provides a non-torqued connection between the Transition Rod and the down hole tool for safe and convenient tool installation and removal and 2) due to its length and reduced mid-body diameter it reduces the stress loads that would otherwise be transmitted directly to the drill pipe.
