StraightLine® Horizontal Directional Drills

Big drilling performance in a compact package!

At 52" (1.3 m) wide, the SL2020 easily fits in congested residential areas. Yet, with 20,000 lbs of thrust/pullback and 2,000 ft-lbs of rotary torque, it delivers the performance of a much bigger rig.

The NEW StraightLine® SL2020 drill is loaded with features that place it at the top of its class:

  • John Deere 5030T 99Hp diesel power plant
  • Rineer hydraulic motor delivers 50+ sustainable spindle horsepower
  • Pilot operated thrust, rotary and mud circuits (hydraulic over hydraulic) - NO Wires
  • Very simple electrical system - NO Relays
  • Rack and pinion thrust / pullback - NO Chains
  • Only drill in its class with a mud-ready triplex pump
  • Simple, field proven rod-loader, first introduced in 1993, has very few parts, resulting in minimal downtime
